this post is dedicated to jiani for encouraging me to blog..

Before I begin my blog, I would like to thank all the horny men of Joo Chiat for doing me a big favour.

What???

Well, you see… where there are horny men; there are “massage parlours” and “dance lounges”. And where there are parlours and lounges, there are also good places for food. It seems that people with high sex drive also have large appetites. Maybe greed comes in a package? You can’t lust after women and not be gluttonous and materialistic as well?

If greed did come in a package, I think that’s both a good thing and a bad thing. On one hand, it would mean that a man can be extremely evil. On the other hand, it could also mean that a man can be extremely good because if you think of the converse, a man who doesn’t lust after women would not be gluttonous and materialistic as well.

Unfortunately, I think greed doesn’t come in a package. That’s because I’m living proof that gluttony doesn’t have to come with lust. I love food. (But then again, I guess maybe gluttony would be too extreme a word to use.)

But I digress. Back to my blog. Well, as you can tell, I recently went to Joo Chiat for some popiah. This popiah is really good. Basically, since long ago there already existed a shop in Joo Chiat that sells popiah skin. And it’s quite famous, at least in the east side anyway. So the entrepreneurial shop owner figured he might as well expand his business and make popiahs too. After all, making popiahs is an extremely tedious and messy business. So he probably figured Singaporeans would probably be willing to spend a little extra moolah to avoid the hassle of making the popiah cai and the popiah themselves.

And the shop owner was right. The stall is doing so well he rented the neighbouring shop to expand his stall. And of course, there’s the usual newspaper cuttings to boast how great his popiahs are.

Now if you ask me, I think these newspaper reviews can’t be trusted. Don’t you think it seems like almost every stall in Singapore is either recommended by a tv show or a newspaper? If not, it’s recommended by some guide to local food. And we all know that these “good” stalls turn out to be total c***… Sigh…sometimes I pity the poor tourist who got conned into buying that guide. But then again, if the tourist is gullible enough to think Newton Circus sells cheap food, then maybe he really deserves to get his pockets burnt? Haha…

Anyway, I just had 2 tests this week. What’s worse, they occurred in 2 days consecutively. So, I am pretty shagged out. The good news is that today shall be my all-out party day. When I go home, I’m gonna play dota till my eyes hurt (I’m serious), eat supper with friends and then go Joo Chiat to watch pole dancers!

Ok I was kidding about the pole dancers….
